Bohemiae Rosa 2021 #01 | Current FACE of CZECH VILLAGE

UPDATE OF THE FORMAT OF THE CREATIVE MEETING !!! Also #photoillustrata must respond to current epidemiological measures and adapt the format of the program to bring the greatest benefit within the original intention and goal. Therefore, apart from the creative meeting, which will take place on April 21st -25th. (the consultations will be continuously realized always one by / one consultant - one author), we will also be available on-line until the end of June 2021. You can send your photographic works related to the listed topics from the Orlicko area to photoillustrata@gmail.com with the subject "work for consultation". Selected projects will then be included in the exhibition in Červená Voda in autumn, 2021.  We would also like to invite the inhabitants of Orlicko, especially those from Červená Voda municipality, to take part in the creation of a collection of portraits of personalities from this region. If you have archival photographs, or take a new portrait in the natural environment (indoors or outdoors) of anyone around you who you think deserves attention (the reason may be whatever it is, "the best grandmother in the world", local shopkeeper or postman, otherwise a publicly visible or beneficial person, etc.), also send them to photoillustrata@gmail.com with the subject "portrait". Please include the author's name, the year the photo was taken, if known, the name and year of birth of the person being portrayed, and a brief description of the person and your motivation to send particularly that. We will be looking forward to the emerging collection, which can become part of the exhibition under the slogan #everybodyisimportant#everybodyisseen.

This creative gathering within BOHEMIAE ROSA 2021 project has got two offered topics, plus every photographer and participant can chose own topic or contuine in on-going work in backround of the Orlicko region. 

The goal is to create a set of photography story, which is benefitial, reacts on this locality and develops a view on life in czech villages and Czech Republic in general.

The participants leave this creative stay with finished work, although it's still possible to continue consulting it on-line afterwards or continue individually for agreed time afterwards.

Our team, who takes care about participants and conditions for our creative process consist of a production member, photography story consulting lecturer, a host photography lecturer specialized on technical skills, work with light, or any other specific field of photography and a local official support to be contacted in any need concerning entrances, information, acceses.

This workshop is lead by Radek Kalhous https://mentoring.kalhous.com, other participants are for example Nikola Tlaskalova https://www.nikolatlaskalova.com,  support and consulting also with Zuzana Malina Černohousová www.zuzanamalina.art.

The accomodation can be arranged in a nice guest house or a local cottage, with sufficient privacy and a common room to meet togehter and consult works every day, socialize, have lectures, share. In case of any Covid restrictions, we adjust the accomodation in more places around.

Food will be arranged partly individually, partly supplied at place with self-help. We tend to use local products and support local farmers and gardeners. It's also possible to ask the neighbor for home-made fish from local ponds and home-made cakes.

The Municipal Hall of Cervena Voda gives patronage (nominal support) to this workshop and is covering the cost of the lectures and exhibition.

The final exhibition will be shown on September 5th in the Church Narozeni Panny Marie in Mlynice (birthplace of Umlaufs) and than moved for the main opening on September 17th to the center of Cervena Voda.

The prints are than left in Municipal Hall as an important part of archive collection of the region.

Price for the participant is CZK 4100,- (accomodation and production). In case the participant doesn't need accomodation, but is present in common space for consulting and lectures, the price is CZK 2800,-. Same price is for only on-line participation.
