Photobooks and Publishing
For me, a photobook is not only a vessel for images but a work of art in itself—a book object where visual language takes the lead. I perceive it as a medium that expands photography into narrative, poetry, and philosophy, opening new ways of experiencing and understanding.
My background in both photography and curating books has shown me how strongly the printed form resonates. A photobook or catalogue is not just documentation, but an artwork that travels, circulates, and carries the essence of a project to audiences far beyond its place of origin.
Within Photoillustrata, I intend to devote more energy to creating space for photobooks and exhibition catalogues—treating them as art pieces in their own right. This is a plan for the future, and also a hope: that through publishing, we can continue to connect ideas, places, and people in tangible, lasting form.
